I dunno I grew up playing Dante so me going back to playing him, was like Meeting up with hate to say with Homie, meeting up with an old friend. I hated playing V. Nero was alright. But since DMC3 I have had a deep hatred for Vergil. My friends knew something was up be I saw V character intro before the game came out and just straight up hated him, I somehow smelled Vergil. In DMC3 lvl7 I'm not going to lie I was 19 and I had 2hot twins fighting in the rain. I was weak and distracted my first time battle him. Man, mopped the floor with my ass. I NEVER redo boss battles more than 3 times, because the gloves come off (2other times). MF cleaned me 21times. So I'm heated. I took a break and was like "my emotions are blinding me. I gotta chill" and sure enough. Andmy friends can atteito this. Bacl in the day we just went to each other's houses to watch or to help with a lvl. I refused REFUSED help beating Vergil. I was now personal. 😂😂😂

I played through every dmc game (except 2) before playing 5 and I got to say I think that’s definitely the way to play this series because as I moved onto each game there was a new mechanic with Dante so as I played through each game I was learning newer and newer stuff each time I played dmc 3 definitely taught me the most with the introduction of the style system I played with gunslinger because I found it the most fun plus most useful then I got to dmc 4 and now I could use all the styles and I popped off in dmc 4 then when I got to dmc 5 I felt like I was in my prime while playing as Dante it’s such a surreal experience playing through the series the way I did

As someone who's recently got into DMC, the thing that humbles you the most is when you land a "good" combo and you feel good about yourself, thinking you improved, then do the deadly mistake of looking up a combo guide (This is even more prominent on Dante). Thats it, all your happiness goes away, u just saw someone with probably 3000 hours do a combo with moves you didn't even know existed.
